The company PREST PŘEROV, a. s. specializes, among other things, in the repair, renovation, and complete reconstruction of historical railway exhibits, primarily steam locomotives and their boilers.

Specialization in Steam Locomotives
A steam locomotive is a technically demanding piece of equipment that requires deep knowledge of historical designs, period technologies, and current safety regulations.
We perform:
- overhauls of steam locomotives and tenders
- repairs and production of new parts according to original drawing documentation
- custom production of missing components
Repair and Production of Steam Boilers
The steam boiler is the heart of every steam locomotive and also the most sensitive part in terms of operational safety. PREST PŘEROV, a. s. has the technical facilities and expert personnel for:
- complete repairs and general reconstructions of steam boilers
- replacement of boiler plates, tubes, and stays
- production of new boiler parts according to original documentation
- production of new steam boilers in case of irreparable condition
- riveted and welded structures
- pressure tests and inspections according to valid legislation
Cooperation with Museums and Operators of Historical Vehicles
We cooperate with railway museums, associations, private owners, and institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad. We participate in restoration projects for exhibits intended for:

Railway Applications
Railway vehicles in operation require continuous replacement of worn parts; therefore, a significant portion of PREST PŘEROV, a. s. production consists of products for replacement consumption. We also perform repairs on railway tank cars and wagons.
PREST PŘEROV, a. s. holds a valid welding certificate according to the ČSN EN ISO 3834-2:2022 standard with an extended scope for welding on railway rolling stock (RRS) and their parts according to the related ČSN EN 15085-2 standard at classification level CL1 and according to the ČD V 95/5 regulation. This and other authorizations and certificates entitle us to weld on RRS in operation in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia. We also hold a Certificate of Supplier Competency issued by České dráhy, a. s.; Authorization from the Transport Authority of the Slovak Republic; and authorization – DEZYZJA – TRANSPORTOWY DOZÓR TECHNICZNY (for Polish railways).
This includes spare parts and repairs for wagons, electric locomotives, diesel-electric locomotives, and two-axle railcars.
We weld railway rolling stock parts using the following methods:
- 111 (MMA)
- 135 (MAG)
- 141 (TIG)
Examples of work performed and spare parts supplied:
- Renovation of worn parts
- Repairs and supply of heavy, forcibly damaged headstocks, vehicle underframes, etc.
- Gearbox housings
- Supply of spare parts for electronics carriers, front plates, brackets, plows, holders, etc.
